AAAI-26, the 40th Annual AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, will take place in Singapore from 20–27 January 2026, with the core technical sessions running 22–25 January at Singapore EXPO. The conference gathers researchers, practitioners, students and engineers working across artificial intelligence.
The programme covers well-established research areas such as machine learning, reasoning, knowledge representation, natural language processing, robotics and perception. Additionally, dedicated tracks on AI for Social Impact and AI Alignment provide spaces to discuss how AI systems are structured and applied in broader contexts.
Furthermore, AAAI-26 includes peer-reviewed paper presentations, invited talks, tutorials, poster sessions and workshops that streamline conversations around specific methods and applications. An exhibition and demonstration component runs alongside technical sessions, offering a closer look at tools and systems being advanced by the research community.
Set in Singapore, a city known for hosting international research and academic exchange, AAAI-26 offers a clear snapshot of where artificial intelligence research stands today. More importantly, it provides a shared setting for asking what questions matter next — and how the community plans to approach them.
